2012 Malaysian GP (Grand Prix): Formula One (F1) LIVE Streaming, Timing, Weather & TV Coverage

By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers

The 2012 Formula One (F1) season continues with round two in Sepang, Malaysia - the Malaysian Grand Prix (GP). McLaren teammates Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button took the front row yesterday with Michael Schumacher grabbing his best qualifying position since his return to Formula One. Only twice in 13 tries has a driver won starting lower than third.

For the social among you, PaddockTalk.com has a new quick and easy to use Twitter and Facebook area to follow #f1 #formulaone, talk to F1 drivers, teams, team bosses, and more! Check it out at http://paddocktalk.com/news/html/formula-1-live-chat.html. So join the fun!

If you are looking for LIVE timing and scoring, be sure to check out the free service at the Formula One website. There are three different options for a mainstay of Formula One (F1) fans featuring best personal laps, sector times and more!

PaddockTalk is also test driving the "F1 Timing 2012" app from Soft Pauer Sporting Solutions this weekend, and will have further details for those interested.

The Grand Prix TV coverage will start at 3:30 AM Eastern (that's right... early Sunday morning), and will run until approximately 6 AM Eastern. The lights will go out immediately after the formation lap which begins at 4 AM sharp.

For LIVE streaming you have to find some contraband video on the Internet due to Formula One's draconian protection of video. Many of the international broadcasts make it onto the video websites... including the fabulous BBC coverage.

For LIVE TV coverage in the United States, you have one option - SPEED (Dish Channel 150). Becareful, since certain segments may be tape delayed which screws up those watching timing & scoring.

SiriusXM's 2012 radio coverage begins at 4 AM. Every race, all season long, will air live on Sirius channel 94 and XM channel 208. SirusXM also offers multiple replays. Fans can also listen at www.siriusxm.com and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for iPhone, iPads and Android smartphone, tablets and other wireless devices.

Looking ahead to the weather in Sepang, the consensus forecast is 60% chance of rain during the Grand Prix with temperatures in the high-80s F/ low-32s C. And when it rains in Malaysia, the skies open up and dump the entire Pacific Ocean on the country. However, the forecast has been much the same the last two days, so we'll have to wait and see.

So enjoy round two of the 2012 Formula One (F1) season!
