He will run the SEF Small Engine Fuels 200 in the Super DIRTcar Series No. 98H Wave Energy/Mohawk Northeast Troyer. SUPER DIRT WEEK - Phelps goes into the "Super Bowl" of dirt races with multiple starts under his belt. He won the pole in 2007 and his heat race in 2006 at the "Moody Mile." In the past three years, he has one top-10 and two top-20 finishes.

LAST RACE RECAP: Fulton Speedway - Phelps posted the second-fastest lap of 16.232 seconds (83.169 mph) in the qualifying finals on Friday and finished third in his heat race. His finish in the heat race gave him the 17th-place starting spot. By the first caution on lap eight, Phelps drove up to the 13th position. The field went back to green on lap 13, and the Baldwinsville, N.Y., native worked up to 12th. On lap 18, Phelps was caught in an incident with Danny Johnson and Matt Sheppard. He finished 41st. Prior to this weekend, Phelps never finished lower than 28th in the Outlaw 200 and finished outside of the top-20 in just 5 of 15 starts. It also marks Phelps' first and only finish outside the top-10 and his third finish outside the top-five in his 14 starts at Fulton Speedway this season.

BREWERTON SPEEDWAY: TRACK CHAMP - With one race remaining at Brewerton Speedway, Phelps has already locked up the championship. He has led the point standings all season and collected six wins, 15 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes in his 17 starts at the 1/3-mile clay oval.

ROLLING WHEELS RACEWAY PARK - Phelps ran a limited schedule this season at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park. He won the feature event on September 24th. He finished in the top-five in three of four starts this season and looks to make his fifth start on Friday.

WELCOME TO SUPER DIRT CAR WEEK PARTY - Phelps will participate in a three-hour welcome party at Quaker Stake & Lube on Wednesday, October 6 at 6 p.m. He will be available for a meet-and-greet at 7 p.m. Quaker Stake & Lube is located 10 minutes from the N.Y. State Fairgrounds at 3535 Walters Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209. For more information, call (315) 451-WING (9464).

HOMEBASE - The N.Y. State Fairgrounds is located 10 minutes from Phelps' home. He considers the N.Y. State Fairgrounds, as well as Brewerton Speedway and Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, home tracks. MOMENTUM - Phelps collected his 12th win of the 2010 season in the 20-lap Late Model feature last weekend at Fulton Speedway. He looks to continue to ride momentum and capture a win in the Outlaw 200 and the 2010 Super DIRTcar Series Championship.

IN THE POINTS - Phelps currently sits second in the Super DIRTcar Series Championship point standings, 113 points behind leader Matt Sheppard. There are five races remaining in the 2010 schedule.

MARATHON SEASON - His three starts during Super Dirt Week will mark Phelps' 69th, 70th and 71st starts of the season in either the HBR No. 98H Wave Energy Drink-Mohawk Northeast dirt modified or his family-owned No. 99j J&B Insulations dirt modified. When the Super DIRTcar Modified Series concludes in November, Phelps will have competed in 75 events in 2010.

Jimmy Phelps Quotes:

ON SYRACUSE DIRT WEEK - "Syracuse will be a make or break event for us as far as points go. We are still sitting second but we are going to need some good things to happen at Syracuse. Syracuse is 1.5 points, and they start around 44 cars. It's a big attrition race, so it will be really important to finish. It is like our Daytona 500, so there will be a lot of cars that we don't normally race with. Syracuse is its own deal. When it comes down to winning Syracuse or winning the championship, they would be equally as satisfying. We all want to win the race. It is the one race where the points matter the most, but it is the one you points race the least."

ON RACING AT THE NEW YORK STATE FAIRGROUNDS - "Super DIRT Week in Syracuse is something you always did, I've been going to the fairgrounds since I was a kid. It was such a neat deal, a totally different atmosphere than anything you experienced all year any place else. The part I liked the best was seeing a lot of different drivers from out of state, all their wild body designs and brand new paint jobs just for one race. Everything about Syracuse was 10 times bigger than what you see and do on the weekend at your local track. It was the best way to end a season."
